San Rustico will be open for a Sunday of tastings, offering the opportunity to spend some hours with friends or with the family, visiting the surroundings vineyards, the vinification cellar and the barrels room. You will have the opportunity to taste all the Valpolicella Wines, matched with typical products.

For all the guests there is the opportunity to buy all our wines.

2006 vintage of the Amarone Classico della Valpolicella Doc has been inning in France during the 2011 edition of the wine competition “Le Citadelles du Vin” took place from 28^th to 30^th May in Bordeaux, winning the Trophee Prestige ( equivalent to a bronze medal).

Premio Douja d’Or

Great success again this year for the 39^th National Competition "Premio Douja dor" reserved for DOC and DOCG wines. The 41 committees made up of over 250 expert tasters ONAV examined 1021 wines offered by 389 companies and wineries throughout Italy.

The wines that have passed the stringent selections are 501.

Amarone Classico della Valpolicella doc 2004 San Rustico results winning of the 5 ^ edition of the Wine Competition "Verona Wine Top 2008."  

Also this year more than 300 wines from Verona, in representation of over 100 Wine Producers of the province, were compared during what has become by now the "wine competition of Veronese Wine”. The contest is exclusively reserved to the wines and the company of the province in Verona, but it confirm our territory  as one of the world capital cities of the wine.

Private Selection "Gaso" - 19 maggio 2008

2003 vintage of the Amarone Classico della Valpolicella doc Private Selection "Gaso" has been winning in France during the 2008 edition of the wine competition "Le Citadelles du Vin" took place from 17th to 19th May in Bordeaux, winning the Trophee Prestige (equivalent to a bronze medal).  
The numbers of the competition: 1,107 wines from 30 countries were blind tasted and judged by a panel of 70 experts (25 nationalities) according to strict standards set by the OIV (Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin).
This award adds to results of the edition of the International Competition at Merano International WineFestival & Gastronomy 2007 (November 2007) and to the edition of the Competition of Concorso Enologico Internazionale Vinitaly of last April 2008.

"Lovely balance of fruit in this wine with strawberry, raspberry and cherry aromas and flavors. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a superclean finish. Very well done....91"

(93)" Craig Camp’s Raccolta August ’04 (vinocibo.com) "1998 San Rustico, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, Vigneti del Gaso (15.5%) ($50) Brilliant light ruby, just translucent. Warm, earthy nose with layers of cooked porcini blended with baked cherry, cassis, cigar smoke and a touch of iodine. Smooth, velvety deep bitter cherry flavors blend with fresh raspberries, cassis and fresh mint. The finish is very expansive with the mint flavors growing joined by bitter chocolate, bright cherry and menthol. Complex and exceptional layered - the lively long cherry menthol finish is amazing. This is not an overwhelming, port-like Amarone, but a balanced wine with fresh acidity to counter the alcohol and ripe fruit.

"Brilliant light ruby, just translucent. Delicate rose and violet aromas expand into cherry liqueur and bitter chocolade notes. Firm tart cherry flavors blend with ripe cherry notes balanced by minty cherry cough drop highlights. The finish is firm with warm cherry fruit balanced by complex earthy, minty and mineral notes. A very firm wine that has great potential in a few years.
